Childs Dream Kindertraum

Every child in Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand grows up healthy and receives an education in order to lead a self-determined life and to become a productive and responsible member of society.

To empower marginalised communities in the Mekong Sub-Region to shape their own futures. We achieve this by working with communities to improve healthcare and education for children and provide socioeconomic opportunities for families.

International China Concern

International China Concern (ICC) is a Christian development organisation that changes lives by bringing love, hope and opportunity to China’s abandoned and disabled.

Founded in 1993, International China Concern exists to help the disadvantaged live life to the full. We believe every child is precious and has the right to be loved, to have hope for the future and the opportunity to realise their dreams.

For over 20 years, International China Concern has partnered with the Chinese government to develop social welfare for China’s neediest children—the abandoned and disabled. Our reputation and relationships in China place us in an excellent position to not only provide services and homes for life, but also empower and train Chinese nationals to see lives saved, families supported, communities transformed and attitudes changed.

Chinese nationals predominantly manage our projects in China with support from dedicated international volunteers, both in China and abroad. Eight offices worldwide raise money and awareness, provide resources as well as recruit sponsors and volunteers with a passion to serve in China.

Christina Noble Children’s Foundation

The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation is an international partnership of people dedicated to serving children in need of emergency and long-term medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, vocational training and job placement, as well as children at risk of sexual and economic exploitation.

The Foundation seeks to maximize the potential of each child.
This is accomplished within the context of the family and the community whenever possible and always with love and respect for the dignity of each child as an individual.

Christina Noble arrived in Vietnam in 1989, and later in 1991 established
The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation in Ho Chi Minh City. Over 100 projects have been established during the past 23 years providing vital health services, education opportunities, and community support programmes to thousands of vulnerable children and their families annually.

In 1997, Christina extended the work of her Foundation into Mongolia after an investigative visit to Ulaanbaatar where she was shocked to discover thousands of sick and destitute street children living in horrendous conditions beneath the city streets in manholes struggling to survive against the harsh winter temperatures which can reach as low as minus 40 degrees.

Korean Missionary Society

한국외방선교회

In 1975, with a desire to repay and express gratitude for the special graces that God had bestowed on the Catholic Church of Korea and for the assistance received from neighboring Churches, the Most Reverend Bishop Choi Jae-Seon John established the Korean Missionary Society after receiving approval from the Catholic Bishops Conference of Korea. With ‘gratitude’ and ‘requital’ as its serene charism, and with the Korean Catholic Martyrs and Saints as its Patron Saints, the Korean Missionary Society is a clerical Society specializing in overseas mission.

At present, there are 92 members of the Korean Missionary Society, 72 of whom are priests and 18 of whom are seminarians. Most of them are working overseas in Papua New Guinea (Diocese of Madang and Mendi), Taiwan (Diocese of Shinju and Taipei), China (Hong Kong, Beijing and Sichuan), Cambodia (Apostolic Prefecture of Kompong Cham and Phnompen, NGO), Mozambique (Diocese of Lichinga) and the Philippines (Diocese of Baguio), Mexico(Diocese of Kampeche), USA(Diocese of Anchorage and Newark); the others are either studying overseas or working in Korea.

Mother’s Choice

母親的抉擇 | 每個孩子都擁有一個關愛的家

Mother’s Choice is a local charity serving the many children without families and pregnant teenagers in Hong Kong. We join hands with our community to give hope and change the life stories of vulnerable girls and babies. Our vision is to see every child in a loving family.

Each year, thousands of teenage girls face crisis pregnancy with no support, and thousands of children are in need of a family for a number of reasons including neglect, abuse, abandonment, or family breakdown. We’re here to help the most vulnerable in our community by providing high-quality services for children, youth and families, and actively providing ways to prevent the problem.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was first formed by a group of volunteers in 1903 and became active in 1921. Our 95th Anniversary of the SPCA gives a rundown of key milestones in our development.

Although we are the first charity in Hong Kong to deal with all aspects of animal welfare, we obtain around only 1% of our funding from the government. The rest of our funding comes from the generosity of the general public, for which we are extremely grateful. It is a constant challenge to raise the funds necessary to continue our work.

We believe that animals are living creatures which like humans, are able to feel pain, hunger and thirst. We should not inflict any suffering upon our fellow creatures just because they can’t speak.
